That's not weakness. That's love.
I'm in a good space now. Moving forward. But I want people to realise: it's the hardest thing you can imagine.
There's a feeling where people absolutely have their heartache because they can't cry enough. They ache. They hurt. That's not weakness. That's love.
The beautiful thing is to go and sit with your loved ones โ and that maybe "your dog" โ look them in the eyes. Give them all the love you can give at the time of their passing. So they know: they did a good job and they were loved.
That's why the animal fund matters. Not for the money. For the chance to say yes when an animal needs you. For the chance to sit with them at the end, if there is nothing left to do.
I was wealthy enough once to look after Benjamin โ to respect his wishes and make sure he was well looked after. And he was. That's love with action.
Now? Wally. Ollie. Stella. Kitty. Animals around me, being loved. Because I choose to care.
I want to help more. That's the Compassion Fund. That's the proper way.
The stories ahead? I want them to be funny, good, spiritual, meaningful. To give inspiration for all. But I won't pretend it's easy.
Losing a dog. Losing a friend. Losing a marriage. Losing a dream. It's the hardest thing you can imagine.
But you keep moving. Not because you're over it. Because you're still here.
